NCE POST UTME SCCREENING FOR APPLICANTS

The Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta has schedules the post-utme screening date. The Post-Utme for the 2020/2021 session suffered a major set-back due to the impact of COVID-19 on Educational institutions all around the world and also in Nigeria. Covid-19 pandemic era has led to the loss of life and has caused challenges virtually in every sector all around the world. This virus made the government to induce lockdown measures and to put a hold on educational activities for more than a period of 6 months. The Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta in a bid to resume its educational activities at this point in time aims to keep all students/candidates safe and healthy. Therefore with adherence to the COVID-19 protocol/mandate for social distancing, the COVID-19 protocols will be followed at all time during the process of screening.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the dates to be announced shortly will strictly be followed. Hence, candidates are hereby required to come only on the date allocated to them. Also, candidates must ensure to wear their face masks and other protective measures. If any candidate misses the date allocated, kindly come for your screening under the column/row for "OTHERS"

The Federal College of Education, Abeokuta provides three-year full-time and five-year sandwich courses respectively leading to the award of the Nigeria Certificate in Education [NCE]. The foundation day of the College is January 27, 1977, the day the first set of eighty-six [86] students were registered after about four months of preparatory activities and assembling staff and equipment on site. This action gave practical effect to the Government plan and provisions in the 1976/1977 estimates for the establishment of an Advanced Teachers College at Abeokuta among others provided for, at other places during the year.

Federal College of Education, Abeokuta has a six (6) schools namely:

1. School of Arts and Social Sciences

2. School of Early Childhood and Primary Education

3. School of Education

4. School of Languages

5. School of Sciences

6. School of Vocational Education
