JAMB ADMISSION

JAMB REGISTRATION BEFORE ADMISSION
STEPS BY STEP GUIDE
Learn how to register for the JAMB without stress. Please Note that you cannot complete the JAMB registration process all by yourself; You will need the services of CBT centres. CBT CEntres are JAMB Accredited Centres mainly for the starting and completion of JAMB UTME/DE forms.

JAMB Registration Procedure
To register for JAMB UTME/DE, Candidate must:
Create a Profile code.
Purchase a JAMB E-pin (can be purchased at CBT Centres or third party merchants such as Banks or Remita).
Registration at the CBT centre.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO REGISTER JAMB
Note: Get a working email (e.g. gmail, yahoo etc.), and a personal phone number

Step 1: Check for the right Subject Combination
To avoid mistakes, check the SSCE and JAMB subject combination of the course you want to apply for. A wrong subject combination can ruin your chances of getting admission. For example: To apply for 'Business Education (DM)' The Four (4) subject combination must include: 1. Use of English, 2. Mathematics, 3. Financial Account/Commerce 4. Economics or  any other Social Science subject required by the proposed institution instead of the above mentioned.
If you notice that you do not have the right subject combination for the course you want to apply for, register for an SSCE/GCE exam and use awaiting result while registering for the JAMB UTME exam at a CBT centre. For DE Candidates, input your result from your previous A' level certificate/Statement of Result. Note that your previous course of study must correspond with your choice of study in JAMB DE form.

Step 2: Create a Profile Code
The JAMB profile code is a unique code given to every UTME/DE candidate. You need this code to purchase your UTME e-Pin. To get your JAMB profile code, simply text your name in this format; Surname, First name and Middle-name to 55019 (e.g Aremu Segun Adeola to 55019).
You will get a confirmation message containing your profile code and other necessary information.
Please Note that the arrangement of your  name must correspond with all your other certificates.

Step 3: Purchase UTME Pin
The official price for JAMB UTME E-pin is 3,500 Naira. However, when you purchase the JAMB E-pin from third party vendors online, a convenience fee will be charged.
You can purchase the UTME Epin online through Remita, Quickteller or from a bank branch.

To buy JAMB ePin online via Remita;
Visit the JAMB Remita page to access all JAMB services, select “Sale of JAMB/UTME registration” forms from the drop-down menu.
Enter the phone number used while registering for JAMB E-Facility profile. Fill in the confirmation code received in step 2 and fill the other forms appropriately.

Tick the “I’m not a robot box”, complete the Captcha or reCaptcha and click on submit. You will be directed to a page where you can enter your Mastercard, Verve or Visa card details.
If you don’t really understand this step, just go to a Bank with your JAMB confirmation code to purchase the JAMB E-pin.

Step 4: Go to CBT Centres for Registration.
Finally, visit any JAMB CBT centre around you to complete your JAMB registration.
Go to the CBT centre with your 'O’ level result (for UTME candidates) and A' level result (for Direct Entry candidates), JAMB profile code, Email and password, phone number, and a passport photograph.
Please note that while you are being attended to at the CBT centre, ensure that your details are filled in correctly. There is a charge/fee for making corrections to your JAMB Profile or details, and this will cost your time and your money.

For UTME candidates, after the registration, you will be given a JAMB slip/photocard (probably with no examination date). You are thereby required to stay tuned or visit CBT Centres or Cafe to re-print your JAMB Slip/Photocard in one or two after the registration. Candidates are to come to the  examination hall with the JAMB Slip/Photocard re-print.
