NCE AND DEGREE PROGRAMME INFORMATION AND SCHOOL FEES

The Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, has announced the opportunity for prospective students seeking admission into the institution for the 2018/2019 academic session. The latest admission window is expected to provide interested candidates with an opportunity to complete the necessary registration procedures and begin their academic programmes at the College.

According to the information released by the College Registrar, Mr. R. A. Akinola, eligible and interested candidates are encouraged to take advantage of the available opportunity by presenting themselves for the 2018/2019 registration exercise. Prospective students are advised to comply with the requirements and procedures stipulated by the institution in order avoid unnecessary delays in the processing of their admission.

The College has also released important information for candidates who applied for its degree programmes operated by the Centre for Degree Programme (CEDEP), University of Ibadan, in affiliation with the Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta. Candidates who participated in the admission process have been advised to visit the Centre's official website at www.fce-cedep.com to access their Post-UTME scores and obtain further information concerning their admission status and other relevant aspects of the degree programmes.

The institution has equally provided information concerning the school fees payable by full-time NCE students for the 2019/2020 academic session. According to a statement issued and signed by the College Bursar, Mr. O. A. Alabi, students in different levels are expected to pay varying amounts.

Under the approved fee schedule, 100-level students are required to pay N28,485.00, while students in 200 level and 300 level are expected to pay N16,830.00 and N17,580.00 respectively. Students who have outstanding carry-over courses are required to pay N11,480.00, excluding the applicable Remita charges. Students are expected to ensure that the correct amount is paid according to their respective categories.

Procedure for Payment of School Fees

The College has directed students to make their payments electronically through the Remita payment platform. To commence the process, students are expected to visit the Remita website and select the appropriate payment options.

Students should first click on “Pay FGN/STATE MDA”, after which they should select “Federal Government.” They should then search for Federal College of Education, Abeokuta from the list of available institutions. After selecting the College, students are required to proceed to the Service Field and choose the service applicable to their payment.

The required information should be carefully entered into the payment form before it is submitted. Upon submission, a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) will be generated. Students should use the RRR to complete the payment process through the available online payment options.

For security and proper identification of transactions, students are advised to use their personal ATM cards when making payments through the designated payment portal. This is intended to ensure that payment records can be properly associated with the individual student.

After completing the online payment successfully, students are expected to visit the Bursary Department with evidence of payment generated from the Remita platform. The evidence should contain the student's relevant details, including the valid RRR number, name, telephone number, email address and QR scan code.

The Bursary Department will verify the payment details presented by each student. Once the payment has been successfully confirmed, the College will issue the original school fees receipt to the student.

Students are therefore encouraged to follow the prescribed procedures carefully and retain all payment evidence until the transaction has been verified and the official receipt issued.
