ALL CEDEP ADMITTED CANDIDATES ARE TO NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

1. Accept your admission on JAMB CAPS and print out your jamb admission letter

2. Immediately proceed to CEDEP admin office with all your credentials (jamb admission letter, jamb change of institution, ‘O’ level, UTME and NCE result) for clearance for payment of acceptance fees.

3. Proceed to the account office for payment of acceptance fees of twenty five thousand naira only (₦25,000).

4. Proceed to the CEDEP admin office to obtain clearance for payment of school fees with evidence of payment of acceptance fees.

5. Make payment for school fees.

Please note that 2019/2020 clearance for all freshers starts on Thursday, 30th January, 2020 lectures starts immediately.

The Centre was established in December 2010 following a favourable outcome of the Resource Assessment of the College facilities undertaken by the University of Ibadan in 2010. The favourable assessment was followed by final resource assessment by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in March 2011. The first set of students admitted were matriculated on 23rd May, 2013.

To offer all round total quality teaching for the production of highly motivated skilled manpower for our school system. Above will be achieved through the provision of quality, full-time teaching, instruction and training to produce manpower worthy in character and sound in judgement.

ACTIVITIES OF THE DIRECTORATE

The Centre derived its enabling law from the memorandum (MOU) signed with the University of Ibadan (U.I) and the National Universities Commission (NUC) regulations. The Centre is responsible for admitting students into the four-year (UTME 100 level) and three-year (Direct Entry 200 level) Degree Programmes.

Academic and Administrative Staffing

The academic facilitators of the programme are being sourced from the rich pool of regular and part-time academic staff from the University of Ibadan, Tai Solarin University of Education, lecturers with Doctor of Philosophy Degree in the College and other institutions. The Registry arm of the College provides the Centre with qualified Administrative Staff to man all other units of the Centre.

FOUR (4) YEAR-DEGREE PROGRAMME

The Four-year degree programme is available to candidates with at least 5 passes at credit level in O/Level WASCE, SSCE, NECO/GCE including English Language and Mathematics in one sitting or at least 6 credit passes in not more than 2 sittings. In addition, candidates are required to have passes in specific relevant subject(s) – Refer to the Admission Requirement/Relevant Subjects for details on the website (www.fce-cedep.com).

THREE (3) YEAR-DEGREE PROGRAMME

The three-year degree programme is available to candidates who have successfully completed the Nigeria Certificate in Education [NCE] and must have purchased the 2017 JAMB DIRECT ENTRY (D.E) form. All Direct Entry applicants must equally have graduated with a minimum of MERIT in their NCE courses, with requisite O/L requirements of the University of Ibadan as contained in the JAMB BROCHURE. – Refer to the Admission Requirement/Relevant Subjects for details on the website (www.fce-cedep.com).

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Log on to www.fce-cedep.com and fill in your bio-data and make payment of a NON REFUNDABLE fee of N2,000.00 only through PAYSTACK using either ATM or Bank Account Number (If you use Account number, a code will be sent to your phone). Please enter the code to complete payment. Complete Online Registration form by filing in your results.

PLEASE NOTE:

All candidates should ensure that they carefully fill the online registration form in CAPITAL LETTERS, use functional mobile numbers, e-mail addresses and follow ALL other necessary instruction. Care must be taken NOT to click FINAL SUBMISSION until the necessary preview/editing has been done.

All candidates are expected to upload their passport photograph. The image format for the passport is JPEG and must not exceed 25kb. The photograph must be in plain background, without any form of head/face cover, face cap etc.

All candidates should please endeavour to submit hard copies of the completed online registration form, Jamb result slip, copies of their credentials and evidence of payment at the Admin Office, Centre for Degree Programmes (CEDEP), Federal College of Education, Abeokuta.

DATE AND TIME OF SCREENING

The Post-UTME Examination exercise for UTME candidates shall take place at the Centre for Degree Programmes in the College at a date to be communicated to all applicants on the mobile phone numbers provided and also monitor the website for the Post-UTME Examination date.

Candidates are to come along with their online registration print out, photocopies of credentials and evidence of payment. Successful candidates would be communicated via an SMS.

Candidates should monitor the website for the Provisional Admission List. Successful candidates would be communicated via SMS and E-mail.
